In the spirit of Spring cleaning, I wanted to share with you one of our most recent projects! This 7000 sq ft home required a lot of decluttering due to a death in this family. You can follow along the project in the following six posts on the Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/LisaOrganizes

Let’s dive into this total house transformation!

Living Area, Garage, Closets, and More

We started in the main areas our client lives in the most.  We decluttered the main floor: kitchen/pantry, TV room and the laundry room first by removing all items that he wanted donated and/or consigned.

Hallways, Bedrooms, and MORE Closets

This home took about 130 hours to clear all three floors.  Nothing was considered junk and everything needed to find a new home as it was either donated or consigned.

The Basement

This 2700 sq ft basement has three main areas:  a second kitchen/family room, huge storage room and a giant room-size closet.    Because of the volume everything needed to be sorted, categorized and then a truck would come each week for those items.  There were over 500 pairs of shoes, over 60 bags of hanging clothes and a truck load of Christmas items, just to name a few.

Purging the Main Kitchen

Years of accumulated clutter left us with the big task of purging and organizing the kitchen. What a remarkable change!

Home Office Organizing

This magnificent office is where my client lives the most. It’s his ‘man cave’ so he wanted to take everything out of it and declutter with us. It is now exactly the way he wants it.

Purging Loads of Clothes

All of these were neatly organized and stored but everything needed to be sorted, categorized and mostly donated as it was years of stored items.

I hope you enjoyed this tour of this amazing home organizing project. As always, I’m here if you need help, so feel free to reach out and set up a time for us to talk. What a great gift for Mother’s Day then to have either your entire house or some areas organized just for Mom!
