Whew! After the holidays our team was kept busy with a whole-house home organizing project. It was a challenge, but the results were stunning, and the client was ecstatic! I’ve been documenting this story on our Facebook Page, complete with full before-and-after photos!

I thought we would share this journey with you. Perhaps it will give you some inspiration to tackle that nagging clutter you have in your living space.

Kitchen

I like to start in rooms that are used the most so we tackled the kitchen first. We removed unwanted and expired foods and items that are not used any more as there was a death in this family and most items were hers that needed purging. Click on the post below to learn more about his miraculous kitchen transformation!

First Bedroom

His bedroom was first as it had boxes and all kinds of debris and clutter. We sorted through this room and made it a safe haven and study area.

Living Room

We spend a lot of time in our living room and sometimes we take them for granted. They can pile up with a large assortment of bric-a-brac, papers, and other items. Every room had books, musical instruments and paperwork that needed to find a place and out of this room.

Second Bedroom

The second bedroom was also a huge challenge. Musical equipment, books, and other items were piled around the room. We are now calling this space the computer room and the closet holds all supplies.

Bathrooms

Nothing had been purged for years, and space was not found anywhere. When we were done he now has two new reclaimed bathrooms.

Third Bedroom and Den

The third bedroom and the den absorbed everything that couldn’t fit elsewhere in the house. They became storage areas instead of functional rooms. The den is now called the music room and the third bedroom holds all of his extra clothes, a safe, a file cabinet and all other activities equipment.

Basement and Crawlspace

Finally, you could barely navigate the basement with the amount of items on the floor and hanging from the ceiling. But we turned this labyrinth of chaos into a functional basement with a workout area, shelves that store all of the excess supplies from upstairs and some nice open space.

Garage

Garages are meant for cars and trucks, but, when they are filled with clutter, those vehicles simply cannot fit. We removed a lot of the waste, wrapped up and organized hoses, and added shelves to give everything a place.

Purging

After 245 hours of work, we had a lot to dispose of…
